Trends & history

What is captured
Once a day, the background engine records the full aggregate set — sum, average, median, min, max, count, and the unestimated tally — for every watched project and field, in two variants: all issues, and open work only. That second variant is a ready-made burndown: remaining story points over time, per project.
The Trend view
Click Trend in the gadget header. Each configured project draws its own line for the aggregate you configured; the legend shows the latest values. On the first day you will see the captured values and a note that the line starts tomorrow — history begins the day you add a project, and the chart never fakes a past it didn’t observe.
Retention — bounded forever
History is aggregates only (one compact record per project, field, and day), so it cannot bloat your instance: daily points are kept for 90 days, then weekly points, then monthly beyond two years. Whether you run the app for one year or ten, per-issue data is never stored historically and the history footprint stays effectively constant.
